I Heart Crafts....

I love creating things...especially when they turn out so awesome. I threw my friend Heidi a baby shower this last weekend. It turned out pretty good. I was lucky to have my mom here to help with the food, decorating, and with this quilt. Together we made what is probably one of my favorites of all time. Matter of fact, I liked it so much that we started making another quilt so that I could keep this one and give a different one to Heidi. But, then, I decided that was selfish and I had originally planned it with her in mind, so I gave it up. I just hope she likes it as much as I did...

Here is the aforementioned masterpiece of a baby quilt. The back side is black minky so it is super super soft. Hope you love it Heidi...or better yet, I hope Greyson will like it when he comes to the world!


Here's the bulk of the party...too many people to name off! It was really fun, and I think she got some good things.

Blogworthy Moments 2

We went to Washington, DC in June for an optometry convention. Elliott's parents met us there, so I got to tour with them while Elliott sat in boring classes! :) He did get to come to some things though. This is me and Elliott's mom at the Washington Memorial. We had a great trip. There's something about DC that makes you so patriotic...maybe because it' "Da Capitol!"


Elliott's sister and her two boys, Josh and Ethan, came to visit us in June. We did tons of things with them including going down to Key West. It was so fun to see them! Thanks for coming guys!


A bunch of my girlfriends took me out for my birthday in April since my birthday always seems to land on Elliott's finals week! Barbara (somehow not in this picture) planned the whole thing and made me feel so special on my big 2-5 day! We went bowling...I love bowling. Dano, Emilee, Me, Cami, Heidi


Mallory and Jake went with us to Siesta Key, which is on the west coast of Florida. I've been wanting to go to this beach since we moved here. I'd heard it was the softest beach in the world, and they called it Siesta Key since people fall asleep on the soft sand. Let me tell you, it totally lived up to its name. It is a huge white sand beach. It is the softest sand b/c it is actually made of quartz. Quartz also never gets hot, so you put your feet in cool sand all day. I totally want to go back...tomorrow... Anyway, this is Jake doing the hard work while his cabana boy Mexican Elliott holds the shade over him. LOL.


Mallory and I buried Jake in the awesome sand. It was great.

Blogworthy Moments

Seeing as how I haven't posted for so long, I thought I'd go through some of my pictures and pick a few blog-worthy moments to share.

A few of my girlfriends and I went to Time Out for Women in Orlando. It was great to have some girl time and these ladies kept me laughing the entire time. Me, Heidi, Cami, Barbara


This was Mom and Papa's visit in January (they have since come and gone again...man I'm behind!) We went to a place called Shark Valley...really it should be called Alligator Valley. You ride your bike on a 15 mile trail and watch for speed bumps...AKA alligators! They were everywhere! It was fun and my mom and I rode very fast to avoid close contact with the alligators...there are no fences!

Florida continues to give us new experiences. Each year at Christmas time there is a big yacht parade and people decorate their yachts and throw big parties on them. We went down to see the parade...this was a Vegas style yacht so of course I had to take a picture (this was before I got my nicer camera, so they didn't turn out great).


This is Santa...AKA Elliott! HAHAHA! Let me tell you, those Santa beards are unruly and very hard to get right. I couldn't stop laughing at my husband. And I think I may have ruined some kid's dream of Santa when I kissed Santa at the end of the ward party...oops! "I saw Molly kissing Santa Claus..."

Oops! I disappeared for a while there....

I know, I know...No posting in 7 months is a bit extreme! I can't believe I haven't even put up any Venice pictures yet...that was my favorite part of our Italy trip! I've been wanting to go to Venice for the longest time, and my dream finally came true! It was ABSOLUTELY FREEZING!! It was beautiful though, and I'm so happy we made the 3 hour train ride to get there.

This is Burano, an island off of Venice. The houses there are so bright and the whole place was so quaint. I loved it!

Here's Elliott outside our hotel. The canals were breathtaking and it is such a romantic atmosphere.

This is me and St. Mark's square in Venice. There were a ton of pigeons and people actually wanted to feed them and have them land on them...ewww...

This was my first ride in Venice...my cheesy face shows how excited I was! It took us a while to figure out the water taxi system, but once we did, I decided it was a very convenient thing!

Elliott's first ride too...we were not prepared for the cold! We had to buy beanies and gloves from the street vendors. Once we got that, it was much more enjoyable.

Blogger won't let me upload more pictures...anyone know how to get so many in one post??? I'm retarded. So those were some highlights from Venice/Murano/Burano. What a awesome trip!

Also, I want to apologize for the extremely loud music from my slideshows. When I made those slideshows, we were in the lobby of our hotel and so our computer was on mute and I didn't know that music was on it! Oops! And now I don't know how to fix it...
